Another gem from "Dear Brad" - tech news you can use!

When we cut signatures down on a guillotine cutter, the signatures are sticking together. Why?

DEAR BRAD...
Question: We aqueous coat most of our printer samples. When we cut signatures down on a guillotine cutter, the signatures are sticking together. Why?

Answer: Brad Evans of the PIA Technical Hotline (412-259-1784) says: I believe that heat generated from the blade is causing the aqueous coating to soften or melt causing the signatures to stick together.
