Some Changes at the Post Office Mailers Need to Know

With the USPS one thing is for sure - everything changes always! There are a few updates of note that every mailer needs to know.

The first is the Move Update Assessment - mailings that have not cross referenced their lists to the NCOA database will be assessed $.07 per piece based on the percentage of unqualified mail being dropped.

The second change of note is the Deflection Standards. Mailers are encouraged to take this opportunity and ensure their flats meet the new deflection standards in January. Current deflection standards will continue to apply only for automation flats during the extension period.
